Green Differences.

An Atlanta Summer delivery has been an event known as Protection on the Green. Every year around this duration hundreds and hundreds of race converge on Piedmont Park with blankets and picnic baskets in palm and fingers. The rolling hills collect for use perfect bleacher-phraseology, grass seating to the huge screen and orator system set up for the big outdoor movie. The setting is marvellous. You get the best of both worlds: a impel-in movie and a obscurity in the park, under the stars.

This year; however, the setting is nothing bordering upon as wonderful and relaxing. Because the incorporated town of Atlanta has a bootless water system we have been in a dryness for a couple of years. There are immeasurable water restrictions in area and many of the public irrigate spaces (lakes, pools, etc) have in fact dried up. One point in dispute resulting from the drouth is the restriction on the use of incorporated town parks. To secure the life of the grass and of nature settings, the general is banned from using the parks.

First the Dogwood festive celebration, an even so perfectly placed in Piedmont Park, was moved to the parking lot of Lenox Beetle. Anyone can understand why that failed. Now, the remarkable Screen On The Virid event has been moved out of Piedmont Park and into Centennial Park. While Piedmont Park is a very extensive green extension with rolling hills and a of nature park setting, Centennial Park is a right-angled man-made "park" with lots of be consolidated and brick, and splatters of grass patches and planned landscaping. Centennial Park is MUCH smaller than Piedmont Park, and is level. So, you can imagine my paralyze with fear when Screen On The Verdant was moving to Centennial Park.

Nonetheless, I made the trek for the first event this week. Different Piedmont Park, where movie goers were allowed to bear alcohol to take pleasure in with their picnic basket of treats, Centennial Park was gated off and everyone had to go on through security, who allowed no pure spirit.

Going through a safety checkpoint to get into the park for the movie was my...
