The Orlando circle is full of hidden art gems: the Cornell Museum on the Rollins Body campus in Hibernate Park, the Walrus Museum in downtown Hibernate Park and the Mennello Museum in Orlando’s Mere Haven Park.

Another gem is an lasting a year event: Wekiva Paintout!

This year, Paintout! organizers invited 32 general landscape artists to represent in the Wekiva Springs Case Park from Monday-next Saturday (sunshine hours each day). The Paintout! is a plein-air coloring event in which artists represent a landscape/riverscape on-seat, quickly, capturing a twinkling of an eye in time before the medium of vision changes. You can talk lightly and unceremoniously with the artists as they represent and watch them take a empty canvas to a completed operate. You can buy the piece you vigil being created; each day the complete works are taken to the Wekiva Isle gallery (formerly Wekiva Marina, 1014 Miami Springs Track) to be sold. Specifical events are planned throughout the week. There will be a Sundown Paint In with all 32 artists coloring the sunset at Wekiva Isle (3-6:30 p.m. Wednesday) and an public sale — with at liberty beer tasting — of those works is at 7:30.
