In which we make one's self master of what Ken's been up to.

Architectural drawings are extend across a wooden tablet under yellow afterhours wolframium. “You’re staying for the junto, right?” Ken is big, with dwarfish green eyes and a well kept red whiskers. He has a wide, curved nose. When Carson responds yes, Ken continues his course.

The drawing is for something key shaped. But with dozens of overseer’s symbols, gibbet-sectional rank illustrations and other illegible engineering subtleties.

“I cut through the woods a year ago. The sharp runs here [along the longitudinal dimensions of the key]. There's a 3.3° stage from this spot here all the way down here.” His thick handle points to one end of the key to the far end. “It diverges perhaps .2 -.3° the whole duration. You’d never notice it. Supposing that not you had the largest carpenter’s leveler in the cosmos.” His mustache intellect with a tiny show the teeth. Ken’s dry humor. “To the eye, it looks level. To water, it's a short smooth lean downward.”

Seeing for ourselves, Ken leads Carson (and Sasha, on camera) over the snow to the woods' cutting side behind the house. Ken starts indicating with his array like a substantial estate performer.
