I collect: Fire King Charm

This is every sole piece of Fire King "Spell" pattern that I own. And while it's not exactly what you'd call a 'ponderous collection', what I have of it isn't exactly muse, either.

It all started several months ago. One quadrilateral and equiangular, pale sky-colored teacup session in one of my favorite tiny junk shops. Unmarked, and a full mystery to me.

Helpfully, my brain suggested: "Didn't you see a lonesome saucer reasonable like this in an old store?"

Why yes, beneficial brain, yes I did.

The push to reunite the two was incapable of being successfully resisted. I paid the dollar for the teacup, vaguely assured that the matching saucer (also a dollar) would still be tarrying for me my next trip to the ancient store.

I also did a minute research. Fire King "Enchantment" pattern, made from 1950-56. Every bit in this line is quadrilateral and equiangular, except the rectangular serving fragment (Confusingly, these are called 'Elliptical Servers'. Ah, disorder..). I have pieces in 3 of the primeval 6 colors. These are Imperial Ruby, Woods Green, Azurite (the white blue), Jadite (whitish green), milk frosty, off-white, and rose-color.

Technically, Regal Ruby and Grove Green (the two brighter, more limpid colors) were not considered a part of the Incantation line, malevolence being made in that shape. ...
