Fenton Glass

The Fenton Art Glass Circle was founded in 1905 by Unreserved L. Fenton and his brother John W. Fenton in an old glass residence of factors building in Martins Ferry, on the verge of Ohio and Occident Virginia.

They began by coloring decorations on glass blanks made by other glass manufacturers.

In a short time, being unable to get the glass they needed, they determined to produce their own glass. The first glass from the new Fenton residence of factors in Williamstown, Occident Virginia, was made on January 2, 1907.
