Antiquing my way to the beach
Friends, I am haunted with fear I am losing my strike against. I left for the margin Thursday sunrise, visited eight old-fashioned malls (and one Montessori Gymnasium yard market) between Seagrove Strand and Fort Walton over the next few days, and I did not buy one, one only, solitary creature. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Fortunately, we had stopped by Seraph's Antiques in Opelika, Ala. on the way down, and it was there I found this pink 9-1/2-twelfth part of a foot oval plant bowl in the Tea Room prototype. Whew!
My two darling Depression Glass patterns positively are polar opposites. I be fond of the Lace Edged scheme with its open, frilly edges (you can see a layer here), but I also like the very Deco styled Tea Expanse pattern with all its keen, angular lines.
