Hurried post: Notes on Sourdough Starters

I rightful read something I peruse before and forgot. You indubitably are not supposed to keep separate starters shut up together. I will separate my tiny party of starters in a bit.

Secondly, I peruse from this well loved blog that it can be of good judgment to use smaller starters and construct them up rather than keeping big starters. The first duration around, I kept the starters diminutive and they had more success than this duration so far. I transferred the starters into bigger corningware dishes (except the of a white color flour diminutive crock) and this can create for too much yeast and a weaker starter or one that dies.

I will use what I can today and call into existence four pint sized jars to act with to see how they do. I'll just keep a small amount in each jar and construct them up as I bake and go. It takes a bit of foreknowledge to regularly use sourdough, I'm acquisition of knowledge.

You have to take into account how much starter you will exigency and I have read that you don't ever add more flour/moisten feeding than you have of starter. In other accents, if you have 1 cup of starter, you wouldn't defect to feed it 2 compotation of flour and irrigate at once. Instead, you would keep adding anywhere from a Tablespoon or two of flour and moisten at a time or every few to several hours until it is built up or any mensuration up to the 1 cup. I am typing my thoughts here and I have books (turn upon volume) of thoughts going on all the duration so... right bear with me?
